Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL is a regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor's Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists. Riverside Children's Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside, offers classes, camps, and training opportunities in the areas of theatre, dance, music, and video for all ages on a year round basis.

A new take on Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s groundbreaking musical fairytale about wishes and the choices we make.

The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever.

All seats $10. Show duration is approximately 1-hour with no intermission.



Cast

Kapprianah Anderson (Steward) enjoys theater, watching it, and mostly performing. Her favorite musicals include Hamilton by Lin- Manuel Miranda, Wicked by Winnie Holzman and so many others. She just moved to Vero Beach in January and has not had the opportunity to see many Riverside shows but, from what she has heard she wants to become a part of it. She plans on becoming a Broadway star when she gets older, (it has been her dream for a very long time) and is very passionate about The Arts. She would like to thank her family for pushing her to be her best, especially her grandmother who has encouraged her to follow her dreams even when it was hard.

Breckin Coffey (Wood Nymph 2) is very excited to be participating in Into the Woods JR! This is his third musical production. He is going into 7th grade, and is looking forward to joining theatre troupe next year. He would like to thank his mom for helping him be a part of this production!

Jackson Colontrelle (Narrator) enjoys shows like Six, Hamilton, and more. In the future he hopes to be on Broadway and has recently appeared in Puffs and Elf JR. at Riverside and The Little Mermaid at his school.

Ivy Engel (Rapunzel’s Prince) is twelve years old. She wants to be an actress when she is older. Her family just moved to Vero last June so she hasn't had a chance to see any Riverside Theatre for Kids performances. In her school’s theater program she played in The Little Mermaid and You Can't Take it With You.

Quincy Frandsen (Cinderella) is nine years old. She enjoys all things theater including being on stage, singing, tap dancing, and acting. Her other hobbies are golfing and playing her guitar. She loves performing at Riverside just like her older brother and sister did. Past shows include Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat and Frozen Kids (role of Young Ana). She is thankful for this fun opportunity!

Alaina Franklin (Milky White 2) is making her theater debut. Originally from Massachusetts, she moved to Vero Beach in 2019 with her family. She will be entering 5th grade in the fall. She loves Dance, Gymnastics, & Swimming. Her goal is to continue in theater and become a professional actress when she grows up.

Lilia Hayes (Rapunzel) has loved learning from and participating in Riverside Theater for Kids. She has especially enjoyed her roles of Charlie Elf in Elf JR. and LadyBird 1 in A Year in the Life of Frog and Toad. Lilia was inspired to become involved in theater arts by shows like The Greatest Showman and High School Musical. She is grateful for the opportunity to perform and add bright spots to the lives of others.

Matthew Howell (Mysterious Man) is going into 8th grade. He is excited to be performing in his first show at Riverside Theatre. Recently, he performed Grandpa George in Willy Wonka; he is a relatively new performer. He is very happy to be doing one of his favorite musicals and excited to be playing the part of the mysterious man.

Kerry Keeney (Granny) will be eight years old. She loves to sing and dance. Her passion has always been in music. She is the Mayor of her class. Her favorite color is orange and her favorite food is sushi. She has been passionate about music since she was 3 years old. She is looking forward to be a part of this play, and show her talent.

Ahleah Lloyd (Jack's Mother) is nine years old and going into 4th grade. She began her theater performance by being cast in Frozen Kids. Her love for dancing and singing has motivated her to work hard pushing herself to be a great performer. Born in Vero Beach with a strong family heritage, she understands the determination needed to succeed. Hobbies include dancing, singing, and spending time with her friends.

Sasha Martell (Wood Nymph 1) is thrilled to be in Into the Woods JR. She can’t believe that her years at Riverside are coming to the end; she has learned so much and made so many long lasting friendships. From starting out in the ensemble of Peter and the Starchatcher to her first big understudy role in Frozen, she has made so many fantastic memories. She would like to thank the cast and crew for making this show a possibility as well as to our director. She would like to give a special thanks to her boyfriend, mom, and PAPA!

Patrick Manning (Jack) is nine years old. Since he could talk he would sing wherever he went and hasn’t stopped. He got his first taste of performing in a musical in Frozen Kids. The year after he performed at Riverside Theater in Elf JR. He looks forward to continuing his musical adventures in theater at Riverside Theatre and beyond.

Carlee Miranda (Witch) loves performing at Riverside and is so grateful to be a part of Into the Woods JR. When she is not singing and dancing, she loves reading and spending time with her family and friends. She would like to thank God, everyone at Riverside, and her family for all of their encouragement and support.

Brieyana Miranda (Wolf) is very excited to be in Into the Woods JR! She has been in over 15 shows at Riverside and has enjoyed every one. She hopes to one day work in theatre education. Some roles include: Toad (A Year With Frog and Toad), Emily Hobbs (Elf JR.), Silly Girl (Beauty and the Beast JR.). She would like to thank her mom and dad, her sisters, Sadie, her Nana and Papa, Miss Mia, and God for giving her the ability to perform. Thanks to Kevin, Debbie, and the staff for making this show possible!

Margaret (Maggie) Rankin (Florinda) is thrilled to be in her first production at Riverside Theatre. Although this is her first official musical, Maggie has been singing show tunes and opera to her family for several years. Her interest in theatre was sparked while seeing her older sister, Sadie, rehearse and perform in A Year with Frog and Toad. In addition to theatre, Maggie enjoys beach volleyball and volunteering at her church.

James (Pittman) Rankin (Cinderella’s Prince) is thirteen years old and going into the 8th grade. This show is his debut at Riverside Theatre. In addition to theatre, Pittman enjoys soccer, volunteering at his church, and reading anything he can get his hands on. Pittman is looking forward to this experience at Riverside Theatre and hopes to continue with shows in the future!

Kamara Simon (Cinderella’s Stepmother) is a 6th grader. Kamara wants to be an actress and zoologist when she grows up. Her favorite show is “Young Sheldon”. Kamara loves everything about acting and is always performing for her family. One of her favorite plays was Lion King KIDS where she played the role of Zazu.

Kirra Spivey (Milky White 1) is going into the 3rd grade. This is her first show at Riverside Theatre and she is really excited to be a part of it. She performed with the Vero Beach Opera in the production of La Boheme this year and has since fallen in love with performing. Kirra also loves swimming, dancing, gardening, and anything with four legs. She hopes you enjoy the show! 

Charles Suleman (The Baker) is going into 7th grade. He was born singing Broadway shows and is an avid theater junkie. With aspirations to professionally perform he is courageous, witty and fun loving. Investing heavily in himself and his passion. His favorite Broadway and Off Broadway Shows are: Wicked, The LionKing, Little Shop of Horrors, and Phantom of The Opera.

Morgan Thompson (Little Red Riding Hood) is entering 5th grade and is so excited to make her theatrical debut in Into the Woods JR. When she's not singing and dancing, Morgan loves to spend her time competitively jumping horses. She would like to thank Riverside Theatre and her family. Enjoy the show!

Isabella Vargas (Cinderella’s Mother) is a 4th grader. She loves expressing herself through song and inspiring others. She also loves writing poetry and screenplays, and is crazy about cats! She hopes to one day be a singer/songwriter and to open a cat rescue.

Casey Watkins (The Baker’s Wife) is in 5th Grade. She enjoys Harry Potter Club, ORFF Club, and doing her schoolwork (because it’s fun!). Her dream is to be a star, veterinarian, and business owner who will also write an arrangement for kids of her favorite musical entitled, Hamilton, JR.

Jenna Wickre (Lucinda) loves acting! Her favorite role has been Young Frog in A Year with Frog and Toad. Jenna likes neurology and wants to become a neuroscientist when she's older. She can play the piano decently and would like to thank her family and 5 cats for making this a dream come true for her.

Ella Wolf (Cinderella’s Father) is a rising middle schooler. Her favorite shows are Puffs, Into The Woods, and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. She plans to go to college to become an actress, artist, or maybe an architect. She loves music, animals, and art. She would like to thank her music teacher, Mrs. Palmer, and her piano teacher, Kate Hurley-Krause for their support.
