Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL is a regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor's Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists. Riverside Children's Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside, offers classes, camps, and training opportunities in the areas of theatre, dance, music, and video for all ages on a year round basis.

Dance Dress Code

 Required Dress Code:

(as of 7/29/2021)

Ballet: 

  • Girls: Black Leotard (tank/camisole), Pink Convertible Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes*

  • Boys: White T-Shirt, Black Tights or Black Shorts, Black Ballet Shoes*

*Preferred Ballet Shoes: Sansha S1C or S1L with elastics sewn/drawstrings tied, trimmed, and tucked into the shoe.

Jazz:

  • Girls: Black Leotard (tank/camisole), Black Convertible Tights, Black Jazz Shoes*

  • Boys: White T-Shirt, Black Tights or Black Shorts, Black Jazz Shoes*

*Preferred Jazz Shoes: Any black split-sole oxford style jazz shoe. Jazz Shoes without laces are not allowed.

Modern/Tap:

  • Girls: Black Leotard (tank/camisole), Black Convertible Tights

  • Boys: White T-Shirt, Black Tights or Black Shorts

All Other Classes:

Please come dressed neatly and appropriately to dance. No skirts. No constrictive or baggy clothing. Tap Shoes are required for Tap Class and must be approved by the teacher.

Hair:

  • The preferred hairstyle for all dance classes is a bun. Please use hairspray or gel, pins, and a hairnet. When hair is not long enough, nor is a bun possible due to hair type, hair must simply be secured back and away from the face so as not to be a distraction to students in class.

Continuous Flouting of Dress/Hair Code Will Result In Students Sitting Out Of Class

Adult Students should dress comfortable in clothes that provide the greatest mobility. Genre appropriate shoes and hair are requested.
